Month 3: July - August

Stats:  13 lbs 10 oz, 24 inches
Milestones:  Sucking on hands, vocalizing - small coos.

The fog is finally start to lift around this time.  We have smiles, a little more interaction, better head control. We decided it was time to stop breastfeeding.  In a nutshell it went from her refusing to eat, to me trying to pump, to me getting mastitis.  This all went down in about a week.  It was definitely a hard decision, but we are both happier since.  She is getting everything she needs, and I am finally no longer in pain.

At this time our little lady is sleeping through the night!  We decided one day to put her to bed around 8pm (instead of the 10-11pm that she was going down), and it stuck.  She will sleep until about 6:30ish usually without waking up in the night.  Occasionally she will throw us for a loop and get up, but luckily it's pretty rare.

This month in pictures!

Visit to Henry Ford Museum - Yep, that's the Weiner Mobile!

Not too good at this whole "sitting" thing yet!

Liking my play gym - there's another baby in that mirror!

Cuddling and eating with daddy

Hmm....I'm  not so sure about this thing

Love those smiles!

Our first out of state trip - to Cleveland! (I know real exciting)

We did get to meet up with some friends and their babies while we were there!

Visiting Great Grandma Pat as she recovers from knee surgery.

So since the first photo shoot with Emily didn't necessarily go as planned. Dionne offered to do a re-shoot.  Although the pictures from the first shoot were great, I was excited to get in some more pro pics of my little girl!

 Look at that face!

 The pouty lip perfected

Yep, that's typical Emily for ya! (Screamin')

 Love, love, love...

 Behind the scenes....pacifier and hairdryer

 What a precious beauty

The illusive smile
